"Pilgrimage": Exhibition Exposing Spirituality
 
Solo exhibition of artist Lenny Ratnasari Weichert "Pilgrimage" at the National Gallery on 20 September 2016 is a statement of memory traces and spiritual experience. Of symbolic dishes Dewi Sri & Kholiq Pudji at the dinner table until the sculpture of "9 Wali Women" is present in a unique way.

Pilgrimage concept has expanded the meaning is no longer the meaning of the pilgrimage as a sacred rite of activities visit historic sites (the tomb of the clergy, worship buildings, caves where turunnnya scriptures etc). Pilgrimage, interpreted as reflective journey into the self, with the speech questioning the woman's identity (personal and communal).

Curator Bambang Asrini Widjanarko and Co-Curator Frigidanto Agung, split three important zones concept expression art installation Lenny Ratnasari:

1. Dinners Club, installation works of intense dialogue Eastern & Western cultural territory that is imagined as "a dining table installative" with 9 powerful women in the history of mythology also in the two great civilizations meet with the symbols of the plates. The dining table overlooking the narratives of pain and tragedy in a video, the main message: the universal female empathy for the fate of women in Indonesia.

2. To be or not to be, memories are very personal history and a long journey to become an artist and mother. Not only is present in the works of sculpture-installative but imbued texts on the walls. Emotions of sadness, anxiety or even firm belief berlabur be a tangible aura of contemplative space.

3. Homage to anonymous, Islam as a spiritual practice and discourse interpreted by associating its existence back to the history, women or "the others" are marginalized. 9 sculpture and 1 video knocking Islamic cultural concept, which surfaced again in the context of today: to give a wider political space for women.

The exhibition becomes important when women in the context Indonesiaan faced with the "classic story" on the territory of private and public space, as a necessity of the modern world and globalization insert indecision, anxiety or even identity chaotic.
